Safely Wine & Dine in Columbia
While the food and drink scenes across the country may look a little different these days, Columbia has taken measures to ensure you can indulge safely. Whether you’re looking for a classic burger, a unique atmosphere or a local brew, you can find it all here.
When visiting our restaurants and breweries, please don’t forget to wear your mask (ordinance enforced), watch your distance and wash or sanitize your hands frequently.
The most important meal of the day should be a good one, and Columbia’s breakfast game is strong. Ernie’s is the city’s oldest full-service restaurant and they’re well-known for their delicious custom omelets, homemade French toast and more. For the health-conscious, be sure to check out Main Squeeze, which offers gluten-free and vegan options, including 100% fruit smoothies.
You’re sure to find a lunch you love here. If you’re looking for a casual place that’s designed “for any day of the week,” check out Coley’s. They take great pride in their focus on top-tier ingredients and putting their guests first. For a lunch that’s a little lighter on the food and heavier on the drink, try Günter Hans — they have a wide variety of beers, wines, cocktails and liquors in addition to light meals, snacks and desserts.
Want to treat yourself to some fine dining? Check out CC’s City Broiler. Known for their specialty sides like lobster mashed potatoes and french fried brussels sprouts, you can enjoy CC’s at the restaurant, or choose curbside pickup to take back to your hotel. For late night dining, try Flyover. Their kitchen closes at 10 p.m. and is focused on family-style Midwestern fare with a farm-to-table approach.
If your stomach isn’t full to the brim by the end of the day, did you even do vacation right? Be sure to stop by U Knead Sweets for a slice of strawberry black forest cake, some macarons, shaved snow and more.
Up late? Order some freshly baked cookies from Hot Box. Made with all-natural ingredients, you can get these irresistible classics in-store or delivered to your hotel or rental. We also recommend ordering a bottle of milk for dunking.
Unwind with a drink from one of Columbia’s beloved breweries and distilleries. In addition to their unique beer collection, Logboat Brewing Company has an outdoor space that allows you to enjoy your drink while keeping your distance. Bur Oak Brewing Company boasts “the world’s smallest, most poorly decorated beer garden,” where guests can sip on the brewery’s unique craft beers. If spirits are more your thing, stop by DogMaster Distillery. With an atmosphere that’s a fusion of industrial and friendly, it’s a great place to stop by and discover your new favorite cocktail.
